our trip

When my Dad passed away many of us remembered that he had always said he wanted his ashes sprinkled in the Strait of Bonifacio when he died. This was where we lived when he was stationed there when I was a kid. So this is what we are going to do. On June 13 Katie, my mom, Ellen, Aaron and I will depart to spend ten days in Sardinia. It will be so beautiful and I can see all those places I remember as a kid. I've booked a villa in a village called Porto Rafael (see images of villa below) and think it will be so magical.

Additionally, since Aaron and I are done with school, and since Katie is about to start school, the three of us have decided to extend our trip into a 6 week sojourn through Italy and France. It will be a lot of work and so expensive but I can't imagine a better way to spend the summer. I'll be posting more details about our trip as we plan, and when we are there I hope to have some great travel posts. But for now, since I just bought the tickets, I thought I'd share.

Now I just need a job post-school/trip!
